BU closed with a kill from Tuperitis, though, taking the set at 25-21 and the match, 3-1.
“I felt against Bradley that we competed from the beginning to the end of the match,” head coach
Rose Shires said. “The things that we were beaten on were things that Bradley did very well. It wasn't from a lack of effort. I think we played at a much higher level in this match, and this is the type of consistency that we need to see out of our team. If we can perform like this consistently, we can win some matches this season.”
Omaha returns to action next weekend, traveling to the Southeastern Louisiana Tournament, Sept. 13-14, in Hammond, La. The Mavericks take on Louisiana Tech and Southeastern Louisiana on Friday, followed by Stetson and Southern on Saturday. Links to live stats will be available on OMavs.com.
