OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha swimming and diving team fell to Nebraska 86-34 Saturday.
UNO concluded their weekend of home competition, going 1-1 after Friday's win against South Dakota.
The 300-yard medley relay team of freshman Morgan Stepp, senior Hannah Alexander, sophomore Natalie Renshaw took first place (3:04.00).
Stepp was the first leg of the first-place 200-yard medley relay team, along with senior Madeline Hutt, junior Morgan Cullison, and freshman Mackenzie Ritter (1:55.24).
UNO's third top finish came in the 400-yard free relay. Junior Jenna Foiles, senior Whitney Korgan, Renshaw, and senior Erin Wright clocked a time of 3:39.62.
“This was a very good weekend for us,” said head coach Todd Samland. “Our program made some great swims and dives. Now it is time to focus on school finals and preparations for our training trip to Key West.”
After a Christmas break that will include an annual holiday training trip, UNO will return to action January 17 and 18 in Grinnell, Iowa, for the Grinnell Invite.
