Box Score OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha volleyball team opened its weekend slate Friday night, falling 3-0 to IUPUI by set scores of 14-25, 16-25, 15-25 at Sapp Fieldhouse. With the loss, the Mavericks are now 6-18 (1-8 Summit League), while the Jaguars improve to 14-12 (8-2 Summit League).
Sophomore
Kelley Wollak led the Mavericks with eight kills and nine digs for the night. Sophomore
Bailey Baxter totaled 14 assists with six digs, and freshman
Kristy Wieser had 10 digs. At the net, sophomore
Megan Schmale finished with a match-leading four blocks.
Defending league champion IUPUI was paced by a double-double from Kaitlyn Hickey, who had 13 kills and 16 digs on .300 hitting. Beth Howard chipped in 11 digs, and Alex Meeks notched 31 assists. Kortni Wright was IUPUI's leader on the block, totaling three stops.
As a team, IUPUI hit .330 to Omaha's .045 and had six blocks to the Mavericks' five.
