Box Score OMAHA, Neb. -- The Omaha volleyball team continued league play on Sunday afternoon, falling 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 14-25, 14-25) to South Dakota State at Sapp Fieldhouse. With the loss, the Mavericks are now 6-14 (1-4 Summit League), while the Jackrabbits improve to 3-14 (1-4 Summit League).
Three Mavericks finished with double-doubles: sophomores Kelley Wollak (13 kills, 16 digs), Bailey Baxter (18 assists, 11 digs) and Michaela Schimmer (17 assists, 14 digs).
Sophomore Amy Taylor also had a double-figure kill effort with a career-high 10 kills along with four digs and two blocks. Sophomore Diane Banderas added a team-leading three blocks, and sophomore Megan Schmale chipped in another two.
South Dakota State was paced by Tiara Gibson's 11 kills on .476 hitting, as well as a match-leading six blocks. Courtney Roberts and Mikala Hora each had another nine kills, and Lexi Fowler had a double-double with 37 assists and 16 digs.
