AMES, Iowa -- The Omaha swimming & diving team returned to action at Iowa State on Friday, falling 192-101.
Freshman
Natalie Renshaw and junior
Madeline Hutt each recorded an event win for the Mavericks. Renshaw won the 100 free, clocking a time of 52.68, and Hutt followed with a victory in the 200 breast (2:21.51). Hutt added a third-place finish in the 100 breast (1:06.95) later in the day.

Jenna Foiles and senior
Cami Hansberry took third place in the 200 medley relay. Sophomores
Morgan Cullison and
Sarah Blount, along with freshman
Claire Alexander, combined to add six team points in the 1,000 free.
Renshaw continued UNO's momentum and took second place in the 50 free (24.41). Foiles then took second in the 200 back, with sophomores
Ashley Kneifl and
Victoria Schab following in third and fourth, respectively.
Junior
Erin Wright added four more points for Omaha, taking second in the 500 free (5:21.08).
Hansberry and Foiles placed second and third in the 100 fly, clocking times of 59.34 and 1:00.78, respectively.
On the diving side, freshman Miranda Knipfer nabbed a runner-up finish in three-meter diving with a score of 242.33.
“We have worked hard,” head coach
Todd Samland said. “This is not the meet by which we measure our success. Instead, this is a meet that we treat as a learning experience to race better next month.”
Omaha will compete again on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Nebraska-Kearney at Noon.
