- The UNO women's soccer team fell 2-0 at Boise State Friday night at the Soccer Etc./Nike Classic.

For the second straight game, the Mavs took a road opponent into the halftime break scoreless. But the Mavs suffered two Bronco goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half to drop to 0-8 on the season. Boise State improved to 4-5.

At 47:51, Lauren Hickok slipped a 12-yard shot past charging goalkeeper Meaghan Clark to break the deadlock. Hickok was assisted by Rebe Wolverton.

Boise State doubled the lead at 54:21. The Broncos earned a penalty kick after a Maverick foul in the box. Clark stopped Shannon Schueren's PK, but Schueren followed the shot and scored the rebound to make it 2-0.

Boise State outshot UNO 10-3 on goal. Danielle Archuleta, Layla Ashouri and Melanie McCormick each had a shot on goal. Clark made eight saves playing in her hometown.

The Mavericks finish play at the tournament on Sunday against Portland State at Noon (CT).
