Final Results

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. - Brooke Thilges shot a career-low 75 on Tuesday as the UNO Mavericks finished 11th at the Monterey Bay Invitational, their first event of the season.

The Mavericks finished with a team score of 1,004 over the three-round tournament.  Wichita State won with a score of 927, three strokes ahead of Columbia.  Co-host Missouri State was third at 931.

Thilges' final round score was the best of the tournament for the Mavericks.  She finished third in team scoring at 251.

Rebecca Pollock was UNO's leading scorer for the tournament, posting a score of 243 including a round of 80 on Tuesday.  She tied for 32nd overall.  Elizabeth Havekost was second with a final score of 245.  She shot UNO's second-best score in round three at 77, also a personal best.  She finished in a tie for 38th.

Melyssa Doerr carded an 85 on Tuesday to finish the tournament fourth for the Mavs at 265.  Danielle Kuchar shot 89 in the final round and finished with a three-round score of 276.

The Mavericks return to action on March 25-26 at the Saluki Invitational at Southern Illinois.
