OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha swimming & diving team hosted Kansas on Thursday evening, falling at HPER Swimming Pool. UNO won three events against the visiting Jayhawks.

The Mavericks swept the 100 breast, led by junior Madeline Hutt's time of 1:06.15. Junior Erin Wright (1:10.35) and freshman Jordane Linhart (1:11.71) followed in second and third, respectively.

Freshman Natalie Renshaw earned a win for Omaha in the 50 free, recording a time of 24.42. Additionally, Renshaw chipped in a runner-up showing in the 100 free (53.10).

Renshaw was also part of the 200 free relay with junior Whitney Korgan and seniors Anna Haxby and Cami Hansberry, claiming first with a mark of 1:38.11.

On the diving side, freshman Miranda Knipfer took second in the one-meter competition with a score of 191.40

"I thought we swam well tonight,” head coach Todd Samland said. “This is our fourth meet in the last week against Big Ten or Big 12 competition, and that is a lot of racing at a high-caliber level."

The Mavericks compete again on Saturday, Oct. 27, hosting Nebraska-Kearney at HPER Swimming Pool at 2 p.m.
