OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha swimming & diving team hosted its first home meet of the season on Friday, falling to Nebraska, 154-83, at HPER Swimming Pool.
With a “Pink Out” meet to support breast cancer awareness, the Mavericks won a pair of events against the in-state rival Huskers. Sophomore
Lexi Bergeron led the way with a first-place finish in the 400 IM (4:38.27).
UNO also swept the top three spots in the 200 yard breaststroke. Junior
Madeline Hutt took top honors, clocking in at 2:22.06. Senior
Katie Maier (2:35.91) and freshman
Jordane Linhart (2:37.54) took second and third, respectively.

Whitney Korgan swam to a runner-up finish (4:00.72). Korgan also placed second in the 50 free (24.90), while Renshaw tallied a second-place showing in the 100 free (52.65).
Omaha returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 20, facing Nebraska a second time at the Devaney Center Natatorium in Lincoln, Neb., at 11 a.m.
