USAF Academy, Colo. - The UNO women's soccer team gave up four second half goals on Friday night in dropping a 4-0 decision at Air Force.
The Mavericks fell to 3-5-2 on the year with the loss. Air Force improved to 5-5-2.
UNO held Air Force scoreless for the first 50 minutes of the match, but the Falcons notched four goals in the final 40 minutes to take the victory.
Eryn Avjian broke the deadlock in the 51st minute on a goal from the right side of the box. Bridgett Murphy scored on a rebound in the 63rd minute to make it 2-0, then McKenna Fox scored off of a rebound after a corner kick in the 72nd minute. Felicia Sturgeon capped off the scoring with 31 seconds left after a 15-yard shot to the bottom right corner.
Air Force outshot UNO on goal, 9-2.
Katelyn Tschida made five saves for the Mavs.
The Mavericks stay in Colorado over the weekend and play UC-Colorado Springs on Sunday at 2 p.m. (CT).
