"I was very impressed with our team tonight," Head Coach
Todd Samland said. "After we had such a great meet at our Mutual of Omaha Invite last week, it's hard to believe that we would meet or beat our times again just seven days later.
"This was also a meet against our first Summit League opponent, and USD is an extremely gifted team with some very impressive competitors. The fans had a very good battle in front of them. We feel very fortunate to win this meet -- it could have gone either way."
The Mavericks take a month-long break before returning to action Saturday, Jan. 14 on the road at South Dakota State. Action is set to start at 2 p.m. in Brookings, S.D.
