OMAHA, Neb. – UNO's
Rebecca Pollock shot a season-low round of 76 and is tied for the overall lead in the first round of the RMAC/NSIC Crossover on Sunday at Tiburon Golf Course. Play was suspended because of darkness with four players still to complete their rounds.
UNO is currently in second place with a team score of 321. Augustana leads at 316 and Colorado State Pueblo is third at 328. Nebraska Kearney and Wayne State have no team scores because their players have not finished.
Pollock shot an even-par 36 on the front. Her only real blemish was a triple-bogey seven on the par-four 12th hole.
Armana Christianson was second for the Mavericks with a score of 79. Brooke Thilges had an 81 to finish third for the Mavs.
Melyssa Doerr, who was UNO's top scorer last week at the Southern Illinois-Edwardsville Intercollegiate, carded an 85 in round one, and
Elizabeth Havekost shot 88 over the 6,132-yard layout.
The Mavericks, although not members of either conference, are hosting the two day event.
The first round will be completed at 8 a.m. on Monday before the final round begins with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.
