UNO To Host Frozen Four Watch Party

OMAHA, Neb. – The University of Nebraska at Omaha will host an NCAA Frozen Four watch party for season ticket holders and prospective season ticket holders on Thursday, April 8 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Brewburgers at 108th and L Streets in Omaha.  The event runs until 8 p.m.

The event will give season ticket holders a chance to socialize, renew their UNO hockey season tickets for the 2010-2011 season and watch one of two semifinals of the 2010 NCAA Frozen Four at Ford Field in Detroit.  Wisconsin plays RIT in the first game at 4 p.m. CT while Boston College and Miami follow in the second semifinal at 7:30 p.m. CT.

Members of the UNO hockey team will be on hand to meet fans at the event.

The Mavericks will make history beginning with the 2010-11 season as they skate for the first time as members of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.  The Mavs were admitted to the WCHA last summer.  UNO concluded its 13th season of hockey and its 11th as members of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association in March, posting a record of 20-16-6, their fourth 20-win season in school history.
