The UNO volleyball team (12-6, 2-4 MIAA) returns home to Sapp Fieldhouse on Tuesday, Oct. 5, hosting Northwest Missouri State at 7 p.m. The Mavs then hit the road again for matches at Missouri Western on Friday, Oct. 8 and at nationally-ranked Truman on Saturday, Oct. 9. UNO is a combined 57-15 all-time against this week's opponents (31-6 vs. NWMSU, 13-1 vs. MWSU and 13-8 vs. TSU).
The Mavericks went 3-1 at the Washburn Lady Blues Classic last weekend, sweeping Tarleton State, Dallas Baptist and St. Edward's. They dropped a 3-1 match to Abilene Christian, which ranks 21st in the nation. Nebraska-Omaha achieved a season-best .410 hitting percentage against St. Edward's.

Senior Uhing is Double Trouble

Kayla Uhing tallied her ninth double-double of the season against Abilene Christian on Oct. 1 at the Washburn Lady Blues Classic, recording 10 kills and a career-high 18 digs. She had five consecutive double-doubles from Sept. 11 to Sept. 21 and matched her career high of 18 kills at Pittsburg State on Sept. 17. Uhing has 10 double-doubles in her career.
In addition, Uhing ranks among the top hitters in the MIAA with 3.26 kills per game, good for fifth in the league.
Myers Continues Climb Up Career Assists List

Emily Myers continues to advance up the UNO career assists chart, and with 135 set assists over three matches last week, she now has 3,013 over two-plus seasons. Myers passed former Maverick Darla Melcher, who had 2,628 assists from 1986 to 1987. She needs just six more to tie for sixth all-time with Christie Johnson (2002-05), had had 3,019.
Myers also ranks 39th in the NCAA Division II rankings through matches of Sept. 26, averaging 10.0 per game.
Myers, Ebke Named to Lady Blues Classic All-Tournament Team

Natalie Ebke were named to the 14-member All-Tournament Team for the Lady Blues Classic All-Tournament Team last weekend. Myers had 135 set assists over four matches, averaging 10.38 per set. She also contributed 10 kills, 20 digs and six blocks. Ebke averaged 3.46 kills (45 total) and 3.38 digs (44 total) per set and also achieved a career best with 22 digs in a sweep of St. Edward's.
