AMES, Iowa - The UNO swimming and diving team dropped a 101-64 decision to Division I Iowa State on Saturday at Beyer Hall Pool on the ISU campus.
The Mavericks did not win an event but had several second-place finishes in the meet

Ariel Lahowetz# was second in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:20.00, #
Cait Hopkins# finished second in the 50 yard freestyle in a time of 25.14, and #
Tiesha Scipio# had a second in the 100 freestyle in a time of 54.96.

Madeline Hutt# finished second in the 200 yard breastroke in a time of 2:27.14, and #
Amy Bechdolt# led a 2-3-4 finish in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:20.14.

Maggie Modlin# was fourth in the 200 yard butterfly, clocking a time of 2:23.83, to post UNO's best finish in the event. Hopkins was fourth in the 200 yard freestyle in 1:58.28 for UNO's best time at that distance.
UNO's 200 yard medley relay took third place to open the meet. The team of Bechdolt, #

Colleen Klaiber# and Hopkins posted a time of 1:53.63.
The Mavericks will have nearly a month off before returning to action at Minnesota State on Nov. 20.
