OMAHA, Neb. - The Mavericks out hit the Jennies in every set Friday except the fifth as they fell, 3-2 to No. 5 Central Missouri on Senior Day in Sapp Fieldhouse.
No. 22 Nebraska-Omaha wrapped up the regular season at 20-13 and 10-10 in the MIAA. The Mavericks will now await the announcement of the NCAA tournament berths Sunday evening. They were seventh in the South Central Region ranking announced Thursday and eight qualifying teams from the region advance to the tournament.
The Jennies improved to 32-4 and 18-2 in the MIAA. They clinched the MIAA championship outright and an automatic bid to the tournament.

Angie Reicks set a school record for UNO with 46 digs. The previous high was 39 by Kevin Campbell in 1994. Reicks' previous high was 37, set earlier this year. Four other Mavs also reached double figures in digs and UNO had a total of 113.
Ellen Thommes led UNO with 20 kills in her final match in front of the home crowd.
Kelli Goeser, also a senior, had 16 kills and
Lizzy Mach and Brittany Hansen had 10 each. Thommes hit .419, also a match high.
Emily Myers had 52 assists and Thommes and Goeser led UNO with six blocks each.
The Mavericks out hit the Jennies by at least 60 points in each of the first two sets but still fell. They held a 16-10 advantage in set two before an 8-2 run for UCM tied it at 18-18.
The Jennies' accuracy dropped even more in the next two sets and the Mavs took advantage. UCM hit .107 in set three and .024 in the fourth set. After an early UCM lead in set three, the Mavs took control to win. They led the whole way in the fourth set.
The Mavericks led, 2-0 in set two. A 4-0 run gave the Jennies a 4-2 lead and then they built it to six at 12-6. A 3-0 run late pulled UNO within four at 14-10, but UCM got the final point to clinch it.
UNO hit .199 in the match and the Jennies had a .128 percentage. Bradye Peniston led UCM with 20 kills.
