WARRENSBURG, Mo. - For the second straight match the Mavericks won sets three and four to force a fifth set but came up short in the decider as they fell, 3-2 at Central Missouri Thursday night.
No. 16 Nebraska-Omaha fell to 17-6 overall and 7-3 in the MIAA as fourth-ranked Central Missouri improved to 24-3 and 10-1 in the league. The Jennies took the match, 25-18, 25-18, 16-25, 22-25, 15-10.

Ellen Thommes had 20 kills to lead the team and she hit .421 in the match. Lizzy Mach had 14 kills and led UNO with a .480 attack percentage. Kelli Goeser# had 10 kills.

Angie Reicks# led a busy Maverick defense with 22 digs and overall, five Mavs reached double figures in digs. #
Emily Myers# had 49 assists and added 15 digs for a double-double.
After hitting .175 and .044 in losses in the first two sets, respectively, UNO hit .300 or better in the next two to even the match.
The first set was tied, 13-13 and then UCM ended it on a 12-5 run to take the opener. The Mavericks opened the second set on a 4-0 run but the Jennies used a 6-0 run to take the lead midway through and then they closed the set on a 6-0 run to win it.
The Mavericks led all the way through the third set and then after a 10-10 tie in the fourth, UNO took over and tied the match at 2-2.
The two teams traded the first six points of the deciding set for a 3-3 tie before a 3-0 lead gave Central Missouri a 6-3 lead. The Jennies held it the rest of the way.
