AUSTIN, Tex. -- The University of Nebraska at Omaha volleyball team was swept 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-22) Friday afternoon in its opening match of the St. Edward's Classic by the host school St. Edward's.
Nebraska-Omaha fell to 2-3 on the season while the Hilltoppers picked up their first win of the year, improving to 1-4.
The Mavericks were plagued by 21 hitting errors in the match, hitting just .184 overall.

Kelli Goeser# led the Mavericks, recording a double-double with 11 kills and 13 digs to go along with two service aces. Junior middle blocker #
Ellen Thommes# was the only other Maverick in double figures with 10 kills.
Freshman setter #
Emily Myers# registered her third double-double of the season with 34 assists and 10 digs.

The Mavericks will play Texas A&M-Kingsville later today at 7 p.m. before concluding the tournament on Saturday with a 4:45 p.m. match against East Central (Okla.).
