OMAHA, Neb. -- Outside hitters Megan Koster and Arica Shepard combined for 28 kills as 12th-ranked Emporia State won its 12th-consecutive match with a 3-1 (25-20, 25-19, 22-25, 25-21) victory over the University of Nebraska at Omaha in MIAA volleyball action Saturday afternoon at the Sapp Fieldhouse.
With the loss, UNO fell to 7-9 overall on the season and 3-3 in the MIAA. The league-leading Hornets improved to 15-1 and 5-0.

Kayla Uhing# led UNO offensively with a career-high 14 kills while hitting .211.

Kayla Jansen# led Nebraska-Omaha defensively with 27 digs and a career-high seven set assists as the Mavericks held a commanding 84-68 edge in digs.
Emporia State controlled the action at the net, notching 18 total team blocks in the match as UNO committed 32 hitting errors, hitting just .118 overall.
Koster led the Hornets with 17 kills on .359 hitting to go along with 15 digs and four blocks.
The Mavericks will be idle until Wednesday, Oct. 8 when they host Northwest Missouri State at 7 p.m. in the Sapp Fieldhouse.
