HOUSTON, Texas --
Lynn Mulligan's six-over 78 Friday led the University of Nebraska at Omaha in the final round of the NCAA Division II tournament. Rollins won the tournament while the Mavericks finished seventh in their fourth national meet appearance.
Mulligan, one of three seniors making their final appearances for UNO, went out in 40 and shot a two-over 38 coming in for her fourth-straight round in the 70s on the par-72, 6,327-yard Memorial Park Golf Course. She finished at 309, good for a tie for 23rd.
Sophomore
Abbey Weddle shot an 82 for a 319 total to tie for 33rd; sophomore
Erin Ommen tied for 40th after her 80 put her at 326; senior
Sara Wolfe was 45th after an 80 put her at 328, and senior
Lindsay Newton shot an 87 and finished at 330 and 46th.
UNO shot a team total of 320 Friday and finished at 1269 for the meet, 14 shots ahead of Augustana in eighth place and 16 shots back of sixth-place Western Washington.
Individual champion Joanna Coe of Rollins shot a 74 to finish at two-under 286 and lead her team to the title by eight shots over Nova Southeastern. The teams had entered the final round tied.
