Ellen Thommes# blasted 14 kills on .650 hitting to lead the University of Nebraska at Omaha to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-21) sweep over Missouri Western Friday night in Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association volleyball action at the Sapp Fieldhouse.
The Mavericks improved to 16-13 overall and 12-6 in the MIAA with the win. The Griffons lost their sixth straight and fell to 4-29 and 1-16 in league play.
