Sara Kampschnieder# pounded 17 kills on .311 hitting to lead the University of Nebraska at Omaha to a 3-0 (25-13, 26-24, 25-14) sweep over visiting Southwest Baptist at the Sapp Fieldhouse Saturday night.
With their third-straight victory, the Mavericks evened their overall record to 12-12, while improving to 8-5 in the MIAA. SBU fell to 11-14 and 3-9 in league play.

Emily Myers# recorded her team-leading ninth double-double with 34 assists and 11 digs while directing the UNO offense to a .225 attack percentage.

Angie Reicks# (24) and junior #
Kayla Jansen# (19) combined for 43 digs to pace the UNO defensive effort. The Mavericks held a 79-61 advantage in digs while holding SBU to a .030 hitting clip.
Lizzy Mach and Kampschnieder combined for 10 kills and Reicks recorded 11 digs and a service ace to lead UNO to the first set victory. UNO registered 33 digs in the first frame and never trailed in rolling to the 25-13 win. The Mavericks also notched four blocks while holding the Bearcats to a -.071 attack percentage.
Nebraska-Omaha reeled off six of the final seven points in the second set to squeak out the 26-24 win. Trailing 23-19, UNO rebounded behind a pair of kills by Kampschnieder, another by
Kelli Goeser, and a service ace by Reicks.
Kampschnieder hit .500 with seven kills, no errors, in 14 attempts to lead UNO to the convincing third set win. The Mavericks hit .294 as a team in the third stanza and never trailed. After racing out to a 10-4 lead, the Bearcats clawed their way back to within three at 13-10. That was as close as SBU could get as the Mavericks closed out the match with a 12-4 run.
The Mavericks return to the Sapp Fieldhouse next Wednesday, Oct. 29, when they entertain seventh-ranked Washburn at 7 p.m.
