ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Lynn Mulligan shot an 81 Sunday to tie for the individual lead and help the Mavericks claim first place after the opening round of the 36-hole Missouri Western Invitational Golf Tournament. The tournament will conclude Monday, with teams teeing off at 9 a.m.

Mulligan's nine-over-par total tied her with Upper Iowa's Rachel Schmidt for the lead. Teammate Sara Wolfe is second with an 83.

UNO's 339 total leads Concordia-St. Paul by seven shots and third-place Upper Iowa by 12. Wayne State, with a 401, is fourth and host Missouri Western is fifth.
