Roneeka Pleasant officially joined the Omaha Women's Basketball team as its Director of Operations in July 2023. She brings with her over 15 years of experience spanning multiple industries, including public relations, education services, and basketball scouting.

“I am excited to welcome Roneeka to Omaha and I am looking forward to the positive impact that she will have on our program," noted Head Coach Carrie Banks.

Roneeka began her career at her alma mater of the University of Michigan-Flint, serving as the Assistant Director of Recruitment from 2005-2012.

In August 2012, she shifted over to the Nursing Diversity Program in the university as a Program Manager in charge of recruiting and training staff and organizing seminars with a focus on leadership and development within the community. At the same time, she also became the Vice President of the entire Flint Community Schools Board of Education where she worked to create new opportunities to better the relationship between the school system and the community, as well as introducing new opportunities to improve the experience of all students and staff within the area.

In 2015, Roneeka moved on to the Macomb County Department of Health and Community Services where she would spend four years managing the division's budget, serving as liaison to media contacts and vendors, and designing new communications protocols.

Since 2014, Roneeka has also been a Lead Evaluator and Editor for Lady Baller Insider Scouting Services, scouting girls high school talent, designing workshops for athletes to prepare them for playing in college, and producing highlight videos and other media content.

Roneeka is also a published author and accomplished film maker, twice earning a nomination for the Detroit Filmmakers Award.
