Barrett - formerly Cory Montgomery - was a first-team All-Big 12 performer at Nebraska in 2010, capping an illustrious four-year career with the Huskers. Barrett helped lead the Huskers to their greatest season in school history, posting a 32-2 overall record, a 16-0 mark in Big 12 play and claiming their first No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. She notched 25 double-figure scoring efforts as a senior, while averaging 12.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game overall.

As a junior, Barrett ranked seventh in the league in scoring (15.2 ppg), eighth in rebounding (7.8 rpg) and second in free throw percentage (85.6 percent, 95-111). She also ranked 20th nationally at the line.

The 6-2 forward from Cannon Falls, Minn., ranks fourth all-time at Nebraska in games played (130), 14th on NU's career scoring list (1,348 points) and 15th in career rebounds (627). She was selected in the third round of the 2010 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty and went on to play professionally in Spain and Australia before moving home to coach high school basketball and softball at Cannon Falls High School.

Barrett received her bachelor's in business administration in December 2009. She was a two-time first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in business at UNO.

Barrett is married to Cruz Barrett, and their son, Landon, was born in March 4, 2014.
