Lindsey Boyd joined the Omaha softball program as a graduate assistant in July 2014 and will pursue a master's degree in business. A native of Westminster, Colo., Boyd finished a four-year playing career at South Dakota in 2014 as the school's all-time base stealer with 112. She was second in Coyote history in career runs scored (161), walks (95) and third in home runs (23), fifth in assists (290) and seventh in at bats (644). 

Boyd was the leadoff hitter and third baseman as a senior, recording seven home runs, 27 RBI and a team-best 43 runs scored. She tallied two doubles, four triples, 18 stolen bases and drew 30 walks. Boyd finished second in the Summit League in triples, seventh in runs and fourth in stolen bases. She also earned Summit League Academic Honor Roll and Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence honors.  

As a junior, Boyd was a Summit League All-Tournament Team selection and set a single-season USD record with 35 stolen bases. 

Boyd completed a highly successful prep career at Standley Lake High School. She was a three-time all-conference first team selection and was named all-state and all-Colorado by the Denver Post. Boyd posted a four-year batting average of .406 and was the Jefferson County 5A Female Athlete of the Year.
