2001-2002 (Junior):
Was UNO's top scoring defenseman for the third-straight year with nine goals and 16 assists...Scored four game-winning goals, three of those came in non-conference contests...Led the team with plus/minus rating of +18 which also tied for fourth in the CCHA...UNO was 5-1-1 when Zanon recorded a goal...Ranked third on the team in penalties and penalty minutes...Was named to the AHCA all-American team for the second year in a row and was also named to the CCHA second team.

2000-2001 (Sophomore):
Led Maverick defensemen in points with 12-16-28 in 39 outings...Recorded a career-high 12 goals on the year and broke the UNO single-season record with eight power play goals...Scored the game-winning goal 1:01 into overtime against Northern Michigan on Jan. 20 and had another game-winner against Ohio State on Feb. 17...Had five multiple-point games, highlighted by a 1-2-3 effort on Oct. 27 against Ferris State and 0-3-3 on Feb. 16 against Ohio State...Finished the season with +3 and was second in the CCHA in scoring among defensemen with 9-11-20 despite missing two conference games due to a knee injury...Was named the league’s best offensive defenseman after scoring seven power play goals in CCHA play...The Mavericks were 9-2-1 on the year when Zanon recorded a goal...Tied with Jeff Hoggan for most shots with 151, a UNO single-season record.

1999-2000 (Freshman):
Emerged as one of the top defensemen in the CCHA, scoring 3-26-29 in all 42 games for the Mavs...22 of his 29 points came during CCHA play...He finished fifth in the CCHA in assists and was +2 in league play...Led the team in power play points with three goals and 16 assists...Had a six-game point streak from Jan. 21 to Feb. 5 in which he recorded 1-6-7...Recorded five multiple-point games, with a three-assist game against Alaska-Fairbanks on Feb. 26 and a two-assist game in the semifinal game vs. Michigan at the 2000 CCHA Final Four...Was named to the 1999-2000 CCHA all-tournament team...Led the team with 127 shots.

Junior Hockey:
Played in 1998-1999 for the South Surrey Eagles of the British Columbia Junior Hockey League where he piled up 17 goals, 54 assists and 154 penalty minutes in 59 games...Played for Victoria Salsa of the BCHL from 1996-98 and in those two seasons he recorded 15 goals, 34 assists and 232 penalty minutes.

Personal:
Majoring in business at UNO...Born June 5, 1980 in Burnaby, B.C., the son of George and Carin Zanon...A fifth round pick of the Ottawa Senators in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft...Idol growing up was Wayne Gretzky.
