2001-2002 (Junior):
Played in 36 games for the Mavericks after being slowed by shoulder and foot injuries...Had eight multi-point games...Was third on the team in scoring and became the first Maverick to score 30 or more points in a season three-straight years...Recorded game-winning goals against Colgate, Michigan State and Ferris State ...His highest point streak of the season was six games...Tallied two-goal games against Michigan and Ferris State ...Recorded three-point games against Ferris State and Boston U.

2000-2001 (Sophomore):
Recorded single-season records for goals (22) and points (47) for the Mavericks in 41 games and also led the team with 25 assists...Had a +19 rating on the year that was tops in the CCHA...He led UNO with three short-handed goals on the season and was second on the team with six power play goals...Went on a nine-game point streak from Dec. 30 to Feb. 3 where he registered 5-9-14 in that span...Had 14 multiple-point games on the year and six three-point games...Had two three-game goal streaks during the year, Feb. 10 to Feb. 17 and in UNO’s three playoff games Mar. 9-11 against Ohio State...He had three game-winning goals on the year, two coming against Bowling Green and the other in game two of the CCHA playoffs against Ohio State.

1999-2000 (Freshman):
Brisson was one of five Mavericks to see action in all 42 games...Finished the year with 17-15-32 and broke the freshman record for both goals scored in a season and points in a season...He recorded eight multiple-point games that included two-goal games vs. Bowling Green on Feb. 5 and Niagara on Mar. 3...Led the team in power play goals with six...Knocked in game-winning goals in UNO’s first CCHA win against Notre Dame and against Miami on Feb. 18...He had a season-high four points (1-3) in the upset win over Michigan in the CCHA Semifinals.

Junior Hockey:
Played with the Naniamo Clippers of the British Columbia Hockey League in 1998-1999...He had 40 goals and 50 assists in 55 games.

Personal:
Graduated in May of 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in finance and a 3.8 GPA...Pursuing a master’s degree in business administration...Born February 15, 1978...Son of Marcel Brisson and Louise Masse...Hobbies are playing pool, cards and weightlifting...Nickname is “The Cobra”...A big fan of Elvis Presley...Favorite hockey movie is Slap Shot...Has been on UNO Business School Dean’s List every semester of enrollment...Named to UNO National Honorary Business Society in 2001.

"David Brisson has been an outstanding member of this program in his first three years. We expect that he will return to all-American form in this his final season at UNO. He has been willing to accept any role that he has been placed in and has responded appropriately. We expect that he will have a marquee season this year."
