• 2002 CCHA All-Rookie Honorable Mention

2001-2002 (Freshman):
Was seventh on the team in scoring and led all freshmen with 6-10-16...One of four skaters to see action in all 41 contests...Two of his six goals came shorthanded against Colgate on Oct. 19 and Northern Michigan on Jan. 4...Had the game-winning goals against Lake Superior State on Jan. 25 and Miami on Feb. 2...His highest point streak on the season was three games...Put together back-to-back two assist games vs. Michigan on Feb. 9 and Western Michigan on Feb. 15...Recorded at least one point against eight of 11 CCHA opponents.

Prior to UNO:
Hacker spent the 2000-2001 season with the Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League...His 18 goals and 27 assists helped lead the Lancers to the USA Junior A National Championship in 2001.

Personal:
Born January 14, 1982 in El Centro, CA, the son of Jim and Lisa...Graduated from Wasilla High School in Alaska and lettered in hockey where he was the team MVP, All-State and All-Region...Has two brothers, Jerad and Cameron...His career goal is to own a physical therapy clinic...Was on the honor roll all four years of high school...Nickname is “Hack”.

“As a freshman last season, Dan Hacker made major contributions to our program, both as a centerman and as a penalty killer from the start of the year all the way to the end. We expect him to continue and develop both offensively and in his defensive game as a centerman. He was an excellent contributor to our penalty kill unit which ended the season tenth in the nation.”
