Ryan Wilkinson

Wilkinson has a considerable background in skill and tactical development in addition to his own experience as a collegiate and professional player. Over the past 14 years Wilkinson has been involved in skill development at every level, from youth hockey through professional and Olympic athletes.

Prior to joining the Omaha Mavericks (21-22) Wilkinson spent four years coaching at the Okanagan Hockey Academy Edmonton, spending his first three years as an assistant coach and skills coach, helping lead their teams to regular season and playoff championships (17-18), playoff championship final appearance (18-19). In his final year Wilkinson was named a Head Coach and Head Skills and Tactics Coordinator.

At Omaha, Wilkinson helps the coaching staff with pre-scouting of opponents, individual player skill video analysis, centerman and faceoff tactics, game day preparations, and practice planning and implementation.

Wilkinson graduated Magna Cum Laude from SUNY Fredonia with a BSc. In Exercise Science and is currently working towards his Master’s degree in Health and Kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science.
