Jake McKamey

Jake McKamey joined the Omaha hockey staff as a student assistant coach in the summer of 2018 and was elevated to the position of Director of Hockey Operations in June of 2019.

McKamey had been serving as the amateur hockey intern for the Nashville Predators from January of 2018 until joining the Mavericks.  While there, he was responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Predators' initiatives for amateur player development.

The native of Franklin, Tenn. worked the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship in Buffalo, N.Y., managing transportation and credentialing for teams, officials and news media.  He also served as a team leader with USA Hockey in 2017, assisting in the U-17 Select Development National Camp in preparation for the Ivan Hlinka Tournament in Slovakia.

McKamey spent two seasons with Knoxville of the Southern Professional Hockey League, supporting the hockey staff with statistics collection and analysis and pre-scouting of opponents.  He also served as president and captain of the Tennessee club hockey team.

McKamey graduated from Tennessee with a degree in sports management.  He is pursing his master's in business administration at UNO.
