David Brisson joined the Omaha hockey staff as a volunteer assistant coach in August of 2017.

Brisson had a standout career for the Mavericks from 1999-2003.  A co-captain as a senior, he ranks third all-time in UNO history with 144 career points and 65 career goals.  He also leads all Mavericks with a career plus/minus rating of +37 and is tied with Scott Parse for second all-time with seven shorthanded goals.  He, Parse and Dan Charleston are tied for first with 159 career games played.  The native of Quebec City, Quebec is the first UNO hockey player to be inducted into the UNO Athletics Hall of Fame.

In addition to his coaching duties, Brisson also is the Vice President, Fixed Income Sales at Wells Fargo.
