Brian Kaufman joined the Omaha hockey coaching staff as Director of Hockey Operations in April of 2018.
No stranger to Omaha, Kaufman spent five seasons with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL, first serving as an assistant coach for the 2012-13 season before taking over as head coach for the next four seasons. As the head coach, he led the Lancers to a record of 121-91-28 and two playoff appearances.
The native of Shoreview, Minn. played college hockey for Miami from 2005-09. He had 30 goals and 84 points in 125 career games.
Kaufman earned his bachelor’s degree in finance in 2009 and his MBA in 2012.
He and his wife, Chelsea, have two children - Mason and Lilian.
