Pat Eberhart

Assistant coach Pat Eberhart enters his 11th year as a member of the Omaha men’s basketball staff in 2021-22 and serves as the program's recruiting coordinator.

Eberhart joined the Omaha program in 2011 after six seasons as the head coach at Colorado State University-Pueblo. Eberhart led the ThunderWolves to a 76-89 overall record, including back-to-back berths in the RMAC semifinals in 2009 and 2010.

Prior to taking over as head coach in 2005-06, Eberhart served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Colorado State from 2001 to 2005. The 2004 recruiting class that he helped land was rated 26th in the nation by Hoop Scoop Magazine, and Rams’ signee Jason Smith was named the 2004 Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year.

Eberhart was an assistant coach for the then-University of Southern Colorado from 1997-2001, where he assisted in the program going 60-25 and reaching the NCAA Division II North Central Regional in 1998. Prior to that, Eberhart spent three years as an assistant at Colorado Christian from 1995-97.

Eberhart also brings coaching experience from stints at Denver’s Machebeuf Catholic High School, Denver East High School and Adams State College.

A standout guard for Adams State, Eberhart received his bachelor’s degree in business administration and education from ASC in 1991. A two-time All-RMAC honoree, he still holds the Adams State record for three-pointers in a game (nine) and led the Grizzlies in scoring for two straight seasons. He also holds a master’s degree in education curriculum instruction and design from Colorado Christian University, obtained in 1997.

Eberhart and his wife, Teresa, have a daughter, Emma.
