Head coach Evan Porter announced the addition Trey Hair as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2020 season.
Most recently, Hair played for the Sussex County Miners in the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball (Can-Am) League where his team finished runner-up in the league championship. During his time at Sussex, he was named to the Cam-Am League All-Star team after he notched 27 doubles, a .322 average and 27 stolen bases.
A native of Firth, Neb., Hair played collegiately at Fort Scott CC before transferring to the University of Evansville. In his two seasons with the Purple Aces, he garnered back-to-back All-Missouri Valley honors.
Hair went on to be drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays organization in 2017. Prior to his collegiate career, he played at Norris High School and led his team to its first state title en route to Louisville Slugger All-America honors.
