OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Men's Soccer will start the season at home with a visit from Eastern Illinois on Thursday, Aug. 20 and FIU on Sunday, Aug. 23. 

The Mavericks have an 11-0-2 record against EIU and a 0-2 record against FIU. Last season, FIU won 4-1 in Miami, Fla. Omaha and EIU have not met since 2022, when the Mavs won 4-0 in Omaha. 

This season, the Mavericks have 19 newcomers including six freshmen.  

Omaha returns senior forward Italo Jenkins (Atlanta, Ga.) and senior midfielder Brett Perkinds (Gretna, Neb.). Senior goalkeeper Kamy Ndione (Osaka, Japan) will return 900 minutes and 33 saves to the pitch. 

Head coach Donovan Dowling enters his fifth season at the helm with a career record of 26-30-13. Associate head coach Josh McReynolds also returns for a fifth season while assistant coaches Ed Gordon and Brendan Dally are back for their third and second seasons, respectively. 

Both games are set to kick off at 7 p.m. CT. Start times are subject to change due to weather.
