Omaha Athletics and Learfield Announce 10-Year Partnership Renewal

OMAHA, Neb. – The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), Omaha Athletics and Learfield, the leading media and technology company powering college athletics, today announced a 10-year renewal of their long-term partnership. Through Omaha Sports Properties, Learfield will continue serving as Omaha Athletics' exclusive multimedia rights and strategic revenue generation partner, extending a relationship that began in 2014.

The 10-year extension coincides with the recent announcement of two transformative capital projects modernizing Omaha's athletic facilities: a state-of-the-art Athletics Training Facility and a new Baseball and Softball Clubhouse. Together, these projects in addition to significant investments, into a robust, innovative holistic support program, positions Omaha Athletics as a rising power amongst NCAA Division I peers. To amplify that momentum, Omaha Sports Properties has unlocked new centerpiece sponsorship assets for brand partners, including on-ice, on-field and on-court logos, and jersey patch opportunities across Omaha's 16 varsity sport programs. These assets offer unparalleled brand visibility for partners and significant financial support for Omaha Athletics.
 
The impact of this expanded asset portfolio is already evident. Earlier this year, Omaha Sports Properties secured Control Services as the jersey patch sponsor for the Omaha Men's Hockey team. The agreement made UNO the first known non-Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) institution to formalize a uniform patch sponsorship, the first in college men's ice hockey, and the first within the Division I-AAA subdivision.

Led locally by General Manager Brianna Chavez and the Omaha Sports Properties team, whose dedication and innovation have already produced historic milestones, we look forward to continuing to elevate Omaha Athletics on the local, regional and national level."
 
Omaha Athletics also continues to drive fan engagement and revenue growth through Learfield's integrated services, including licensed merchandise partner CLC and digital platform provider SIDEARM Sports in addition to the flagship multimedia rights division. UNO and CLC have partnered since 2012 and will extend that relationship with a coterminous agreement running through 2035–36. Over the past five years, the program has grown more than 230%, highlighted by recent collaborations on hot market sales surrounding Omaha's nationally prominent Hockey program and the Men's Basketball program's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2025. Building on that momentum, CLC has expanded its licensing footprint to include co-branded beverages and secured placement in national retailers including Scheels, Rally House, Walmart, Target, and Dick's Sporting Goods.
