OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Baseball (8-13) returns to Charles Schwab Field Omaha on March 24 to face Creighton (9-11), with first pitch set for 6 p.m. CT. The matchup will stream on ESPN+.
The Mavericks are coming off a three-game series against Northern Colorado at Tal Anderson Field, where they went 1-2.
Omaha's victory came in dramatic fashion, as
Chase Diggins delivered a walk-off single to right field in the bottom of the 11th inning to secure a 12-11 victory on Saturday, March 21.
In Saturday's win, every Omaha starter recorded at least one hit.
Diggins,
Edoardo Cornelli,
Henry Zipay and
Brody Sexton each posted three-hit performances, which included home runs from Trout, Cornelli and
Tyler Bishop.
During Sunday's series finale, which also went to extra innings, four Mavericks recorded multi-hit performances. Trout went 2-for-4 with his team-leading 12th double, while Zipay, Bishop and
Hayden Lewis each added two hits.
Through seven weeks of the 2026 season,
Jackson Trout continues to pace Omaha offensively, hitting .410 with a team-high 34 hits and 12 doubles. He leads the Summit League in all three categories, while also topping the conference in slugging percentage (.590) and on-base percentage (.474).
Trout also ranks among the top 30 nationally in batting average.
Omaha heads back on the road facing St. Thomas at Koch Diamond in St. Paul, Minn. from March 27-29. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. CT Friday, and all three games will stream on the Summit League Network.
