(3) Omaha set to play in 2025 Summit League Baseball Championship

OMAHA, Neb. - (3) Omaha baseball (19-28, 12-16 Summit League) begins play in the 2025 Summit League Baseball Championship on Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT when it takes on (2) North Dakota State (17-31, 13-15 Summit League) at Tal Anderson Field.

The Mavericks are in familiar territory on their home field as they play the role of the host in the championship this season.

The other matchup of the tournament is (1) Oral Roberts and (4) South Dakota State, the pair of teams open the conference championship with a noon CT game at Tal Anderson Field.

  • 2025 Summit League Player of the Year, Henry Zipay, enters the series with the conference's highest batting average (.397) and has reached base safely in 29 straight games.
  • Zipay, along with Jackson Trout and Tyler Bishop, were named to the Summit League's First Team All-League on Tuesday morning, and Ben Weber was named to the Second Team All-League.
