Omaha drops to 1-4 on the year, while the Tigers stay undefeated at 5-0.
Innings 1-3
In his second outing of the year,

Meanwhile, Omaha's bats struggled early, going hitless through the first three with only one baserunner.
Innings 4-6
LSU got its third run in the bottom of the fourth off of back-to-back doubles.
Carter Mick came in with one out and one on and set the next two batters down in order. After the Tigers cashed in another run in the fifth, Omaha finally got on the board in the top of the sixth when
Henry Zipay lined one the other way to bring in
Sam Beck. Then,
Tyler Bishop followed up with a sac fly to score
Kael Babin and cut LSU's lead in half.
Maddox Meyer, who came in and got the final out of the fifth, retired the side in order in the bottom of the sixth to keep it a two-run game.
Innings 7-9
Meyer tossed another scoreless inning in the seventh, bookended by a pair of strikeouts to strand three runners. He would come back out one last time the next inning where he worked around a double and an error by striking out three more Tigers and keep it a two-run game heading into the top of the ninth. With one final chance at the plate, the Mavericks were unable to close the gap as they were retired in order to end the game.
