About Omaha

Omaha enters Saturday's fixture 2-0 in its last two outings. Last time out, the Mavericks defeated St. Thomas by a 2-0 tally to kickoff Summit League play in 2025. Graduate student forward Theo Klein (Strasbourg, France) logged his first of four chances on the evening in the second minute with a rocket high of the crossbar. Donovan Dowling's side was able to follow up six minutes later with a shot high by sophomore forward Bradley Takamo (Toronto, Ontario, Canada).

In the 12th minute of play, Omaha senior forward Kaito Ueki (Nerima-Ku, Japan) was fouled in the box, sending Klein to the spot for his first penalty opportunity of the season. The Mavericks' all-time leading goal scorer went right to score his third goal of the campaign (21st career goal) to put Omaha up 1-0.

Omaha doubled up in the 24th minute as sophomore Maguire Perkins (Gretna, Neb.) cleaned up the rebound off a senior midfielder Oskar Kvarnback (Stockholm, Sweden) shot to finish-off his third goal of the campaign. M. Perkins and Klein are tied for the team lead.

Junior goalkeeper Kamy Ndione (Osaka, Japan) did not face a shot-on-target in the opening 45 minutes and was sprung into action for five stops in the second half.

St. Thomas outshot Omaha, 12-3, in the second half after the sides had an even six in the first half of play. Omaha did not record a shot-on-target in the final 45 minutes.

Scouting the Opponent

Kansas City enters Saturday's match after a 2-1 setback to Denver last week, snapping a four-game unbeaten streak. The Roos allowed multiple goals for just the second time all season.

Elie Kisoka made his return to the starting lineup against the Pioneers, playing 66 minutes and attempting three shots. The 2024 Summit League Offensive Player of the Year had been limited in his playing time early in the season while recovering from an offseason knee procedure.

Bryce Outman played all 90 minutes of the Roos' Summit League opener, a first in his collegiate career. He has started each of the past five games after starting the season in a reserve role.
