NEWARK, Del. - Omaha Men's Soccer (3-7-3, 1-2-1 Summit) fell 6-0 to Delaware Saturday in the first-ever meeting between the now-Summit League foes.
Richard Monath scored his first of three goals en route to a hat trick for the Blue Hens in the 30th minute, followed by the first of two goals from Charles Giordano to put the home side up 2-0 in the 45th minute.
Monath scored in the 48th and 58th to put the Blue Hens up 4-0. Connor Parry scored his lone goal in the 60th to extend the lead to five. The scoring concluded in the 72nd minute with a Giordano brace.
Junior goalkeeper
Kamy Ndione (Osaka, Japan) made four saves in goal for the Mavericks, which totaled two shots-on-target.
Omaha returns to Caniglia Field on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 2:30 p.m. CT to face Denver as part of homecoming week. Saturday's match will stream live on the Summit League Network.
