LINCOLN, Neb. - Omaha men's golf completed play Tuesday in the Git-R-Done Invitational hosted by Nebraska at Firethorn Golf Club in Lincoln. The Mavericks finished 11th of 12 participating teams in the team's second tournament of the fall 2024 season.
Sam Houston State took home the team title and the Bearkats' Hugo Trommetter finished as the top individual at 11-under over 54 holes.
Luke Strako and
Nolan Johnson led all Mavericks in the 64-player field, as both carded a 214 over three rounds of play (+1) to finish T-16.
Sam Vocelka recorded an eagle on the par-5 third hole in Monday's second round.
Omaha hits the links next week to close-out September with the Tommie Invitational in Stillwater, Minn. hosted by St. Thomas beginning on Monday, Sept. 30.
