OMAHA, Neb. - Due to the forecast calling for a high heat index, the Omaha men's soccer home opener against Florida Atlantic at Caniglia Field on Sunday, Aug. 25 will now kickoff at 7 p.m. CT.

Omaha Athletics encourages fans to stay safe and hydrated. Spectators are permitted to bring their own factory-sealed water bottle and empty refillable containers as a complimentary water refill station will be available. 

Sunday's contest will stream on the Summit League Network on Midco Sports Plus.

Other planned campus events surrounding the start of the school year also are being pushed back top help provide some relief from the conditions. 

MavFest will now be from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., one hour later than originally scheduled. Immediately following the men's soccer match, the 2024 Convocation will be held at Caniglia Field. After Convocation, fireworks will close out the night.
