SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Summit League announced its list of winners for the 2023-24 Academic Honor Roll and Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence this week, with 318 Omaha student-athletes earning a total of 340 academic honors.
To qualify for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average, on a 4.0 scale, for the year awarded. 205 Mavericks made the honor roll, giving Omaha the third highest total in the league. Men's swimming and diving led all Omaha men's programs with 24 honorees, and women's swimming and diving led all Omaha women's programs with 27 honorees.
For the Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence, student-athletes must carry a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA, have used a year of eligibility and completed three full semesters or five quarters at the nominating institution. 113 Mavericks made the list, the second most in the conference, with both swimming and diving program's again leading the way as the men had 13 student-athletes honored and the women had 17.
