11 Omaha Maverick athletic programs earned perfect (1000) Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores for the year of 2022-23.
In 2022-23, baseball, basketball men's golf, hockey, men's soccer, cross country, women's golf, softball, women's swim and dive, women's tennis and volleyball saw perfect scores.
This year, the national four-year Academic Progress Rate held steady at 984. The Mavericks boasted a very impressive 993 APR score for 2022-23. 12 of Omaha's 16 programs exceeded the national four-year average while men's golf, cross country, women's golf and women's tennis maintained perfect four-year averages.
With a 2022-23 APR score of 991, track & field found themselves above the 984 four-year average for the second consecutive year.
This is the third year of publicly reported APRs after a one-year COVID-19 hiatus. Two years ago, the Division I Board of Directors approved the release of APR scores but voted to continue the suspension of program penalties.
Each academic year, every Division I sports team calculates its APR using a simple and consistent formula. Each term, scholarship student-athletes can earn 1 point for remaining eligible and 1 point for staying in school or graduating. For schools that do not offer scholarships, recruited student-athletes are tracked.
