The Omaha Mavericks split the doubleheader with the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Omaha took game one with a 2-0 shutout to break the longest active win streak in the country. In a back-and-forth game, the SDSU won 6-4 with a late lead.
The Mavericks improved to 36-12 overall and are now 13-3 in conference play.

How It Happened

Kamryn Meyer kept the Jackrabbits without a hit until the fourth inning. In the top of the third, she made a play to first with bases loaded to end the inning and keep SDSU scoreless.
- The two runs by the Mavericks came in the bottom of the fourth when
Lynsey Tucker a two-RBI single to the gap by second base. With bases loaded, she scored
Jaelle Johnson and
Olivia Aden.

Sydney Thomason called game in the top of the seventh with a catch in right field.

Kamryn Meyer picked up her 22nd victory on the season and extended her win streak to 17. With no runs allowed, she picked up her seventh shutout of the season.

How It Happened
- The Jackrabbits got on the board first with a hit to left field that scored two runners in the top of the second.

Jaelle Johnson put the Mavericks within one with a hit to the right-field wall that scored
Alex Olson from second in the bottom of the second.
- In the bottom of the fourth
Sydney Ross tied it up at two after scoring from second on a hit by Ava Rongsich to right field.
- In the bottom of the fourth Tucker hit a line drive over second base to score both Rongisch and Aden. With the two runs, the Mavericks took the lead 4-2.
- SDSU tied it up at four in the top of the fifth with a two-RBI double to left center.
- In the top of the sixth, the Jackrabbits hit a triple up the right-field line to score two and take the lead 6-4.

Sydney Nuismer started on the mound where she threw two strikeouts in four innings of work. She allowed five hits and four runs.

Abby Flanagan came in to pitch the final three innings, throwing one strikeout. She allowed one hits and two runs.
