In their fourth tournament of the spring season, the Omaha Mavericks finished T4 at the WIU Intercollegiate in Silvis, Illinois. Omaha had three golfers in
Nicole Hansen,
Macarena Garcia and
Emily Karmazin all finish in the top 20 of the field.
Hansen was the Mavericks top placer finishing T11 for the weekend. The graduate club shot 81-71-79 for a tournament total of 231 (+18). Hansen's 71 is her best 18 hole round of the season. Coming in four spots behind her in T15 was
Macarena Garcia. Garcia shot a tournament total of 234. She opened the weekend with her lowerst round of the three shooting a 75. Garcia followed that up by shooting 77-82 over her final two rounds to shoot a tournament score of +21. Finishing just behind Garcia was
Emily Karmazin in T18. She shot 79-81-78 for a weekend total of 238.
Lavina Romito finished T26 this weekend. Romito fired off rounds of 85-74-83 for 242. Romito's 74 is her best 18-hole round of the spring. She tied with Maverick teammate
Mika Miyata. Miyata finished the weekend shooting 80-82-80.
Sydney Taake finished the tournament by shooting a 75 today. That's her second lowest round of the season. She came in 33rd place. Lastly for the Mavericks,
Emma Kirvan finished 38th with tournament total of 259.
The Mavericks jump right back in action on Monday and Tuesday at the Omaha hosted Stampede at the Creek.
