Lincoln, Neb.- The Omaha Mavericks are now 4-0 against Big 10 opponents after a dominant 5-2 win over Nebraska on Wednesday night.
The Mavericks improve to a 22-7 overall record on the campaign. With now 11 straight wins the Mavericks are tied for third in the country for longest winning streak. On the season Omaha has five wins against Power 5 opponents.

Lynsey Tucker led off with the most ideal start. On a 3-2 count, she hit a home run to center field to get the Mavericks on the board early.

Kamryn Meyer also had a strong start in the first inning, striking out both the second and third batters.
- In the bottom of the second, Nebraska hit a home run to left field to tie the game at one.
- In the top of the third,
Ava Rongisch singled to left field where
Maggie O'Brien and
Sydney Thomason scored on a fielding error by the left fielder.
- With two outs and bases loaded in the top of the third,
Olivia Aden reached on a fielder's choice giving Omaha a 4-1 lead after Rongisch scored.
- Ross scored one last run for the Mavericks in the top of the third after
Marra Cramer hit a single up the middle with bases loaded.
- Nebraska hit in one final run in the bottom of the fifth with a single up the middle but they weren't able to rally more than one.
Game Notes
- Meyer picked up her 12th win of the season after pitching the first four innings. Meyer threw four strikeouts and only allowed four hits and one run.
- Nuismer earned the save after stepping in for the final three innings.
- Ross went 2-3 at-bat and scored one run.
- Tucker, Rongisch, Aden, and Cramer each recorded one RBI.
- Aden had a team-high five assists.
- Omaha outhit the Huskers 9-7.
