LINCOLN, Neb. – Omaha women's Swim & Dive left Wednesday's meet at Nebraska with a 73-169 loss in the overall score but did manage to place in the top three through 10 of the 13 total events the meet.

The Mavericks also had 11 individual top-three finishers in the meet and placed second in the 200 medley relay and the 200 free relay.

Omaha had four first-place finishers at the Devaney Natatorium in Lincoln, Neb.

Senior Hailey Matthews placed first in the 200 free (1:53.19) and the 100 back (57.95). Senior Payton Easley also finished first in the 100 free (51.65) and took second in the 50 free (23.68).

"I'm proud of our women for stepping up to any race without fear and competing the best they could," head coach Jessica Hessel said. "We still are not in a polished part of our season, but that didn't stop them from getting some wins against the Huskers. Great job to the ladies for swimming big."

The Mavericks will be back in action when they host Saint Louis at 10 a.m. on Jan. 18 at the H&K Pool in Omaha, Neb.
